We hope you all are having a wonderful summer holiday. There is still some time left before we officially open up the doors of Hellings. Make sure you make the most of the last few days.
The office will be open beginning on Monday, August 27th, 2018 (9:00am – 3:30pm). If you would like to register your child, please do so during August 29th – August 31st, 2018.
For those looking to plan for the first week of school, here is the schedule for the first couple of days.
School will reopen on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018. Because of the uncertain nature of enrolment for September, students will remain in their current class groups (2017/2018) and return to their current classrooms on the first day. This will give the students and teachers an opportunity to reconnect with their classmates and teachers. We will arrange the new classes as quickly as possible once our enrolment has been determined.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th
Kindergarten
- Time and grouping details for the first week were sent to individual homes.
Grades 1- 7
- 9:00 a.m. – Students return to their last year’s classroom for the morning’s instruction and the important task of determining our enrolment
DISMISSAL TIME IS 12:00 NOON. THERE WILL BE NO AFTERNOON CLASSES.
SECOND DAY WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th
Grades 1 – 7
- We resume our normal schedule:
9:00 am – Morning begins
10:25 am – Recess
12:00 – 12:47pm – Lunch
12:52 pm – Afternoon begins
3:00 pm – Dismissal
